29.01.1968 | Νέα σύλληψη από τον Βασίλειο Λάμπρου
For reasons of intimidation. Just after New Year 1968, I renewed certain political contacts and, after a fortnight, I was again arrested, held in Security headquarters in Bouboulina Street for four days and then brought to the office of Ioannis Ladas, then in charge of public security. Although the interview was both disagreeable and inconclusive (with Lada trying to convince me of the «patriotic» motives that prompted the junta to grab power) I was set free; only to be picked-up some days later by police officer Lambrou, then serving at Security headquarters, and brought in front of a military council, headed by Papadopoulos (the other high-ranking officers did not recognise) who asked me to resume my editorial activities– which I refused to do.
